Realized I forgot to post update during/after FanX in SLC! It was absolutely delightful sharing a booth with friends and fellow authors Fae Quin, KL Hiers, and Kit Barrie! We did group theme costumes, and had fun meeting new folks and reconnecting with folks from last year! Hope to see y'all again!

OSHA officials write Alastor up as he tries to argue with them

The OSHA violation, spewing vile LIES! They say I swallowed a microphone! I'm the RADIO DEMON! This is just my voice!

Alastor got written up by OSHA! They didn't listen to him trying to say any issues with the new hotel are all Lucifer's fault.

Eh, I think neighboring states would get the billboard reference, too. But I get that, as not everyone is aware of this particular Ohio landmark. The message on the back of the shirt is very universal, however.

And I was told by my friend that the HELL IS REAL shirt from the Ohio Abortion Fund was safely delivered to you there at Raleigh. ^_^ May it serve you well in keeping up the good fight.

There was a shirt I'd ordered while donating to the Abortion Fund of Ohio, which has our infamous HELL IS REAL billboard on front, and "SHUCK ABORTION BANS🖕" on back, but it came in today, and not in time to give it to you at Animate Columbus. You're not at any other cons I'm vending, looks like. 😕

Animate Columbus was a blast! Especially as I got to spend it with @faelovesart.bsky.social! It was wonderful meeting so many great folks.

If you are a cis person *please* take 2 minutes to do this. Trans people with non-updated gender markers, historical gender marker changes, and X markers are terrified to travel right now; rolling back this policy would mean a lot.

Or, like, plots where the president is in danger, and the audience is supposed to be concerned.

This needs saying.

Within living memory it was literally illegal to be trans in public. Within living memory queer communities faced a horrific genocide. Within my lifetime anti-queer violence was far, far more widespread. People fought anyway.

Do not assume all is lost. We do not have the luxury.

I don’t care if you’re a relative, a fantasy novelist, or an elected official, transphobia is manufactured outrage and transphobe are trash.

None of America’s problems are cause by trans people. None.

But a LOT are caused by bigots.

Still don't understand how this badly-written charicature of a villain could manage to get elected once, let alone twice.

DO NOT feel guilty or inadequate for sharing your queer art and creative works right now. This is one of many things we need to keep doing.

Our art is our voice, our medicine, our community, our progress, our mark on our world. Don't silence yourself when your voice is needed more than ever.
