09.02.2026 05:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Bad Bunnyโs Super Bowl performance required 9,852 theatrical pyrotechnics, nearly 400 costumed extras, and a lot of ingenuity.
And yes, that was a real couple featured in the wedding.

Want to go into detail on the Bad Bunny performance? Becky is using her deep knowledge to decode it for those of us who loved it but arenโt steeped in the culture! Great read!
09.02.2026 04:10 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That was SO MUCH FUN, and some very poignant stage elements (like power poles). Man, it made me nostalgic for most of my college parties, which generally had a lot of Latin dancingโฆ

A little ceramic robot with some underglaze details and high temp wire hair. Supposed to be Seaworld glaze, but it apparently got adulterated in the studio. I donโt mind - I actually really like it!
A little fanged monster with yellow tentacle eyes, a red nose, and bare clay fangs. Very unfortunate Charlie Chaplin glaze drip mustache. Sad, as the Dragons Breath glaze usually doesnโt run at allโฆ
Another robot sculpture. I have some phone/clock/computer parts (some that my teacher gifted me and some that I scavenged from an old alarm clock from Goodwill) that I will glue on at the end of the process.
Finally back in the groove after a long long long winter break at the pottery studio. Picked three finished pieces up today - mostly happy with how they turned out! Made another robot with the last of my clay too.

People think I'm super uber weird for having a fox skeleton and a few fox and deer skulls around in a nice display table with some megalodon teeth and other natural ephemera. All I can say is "but it's so coooool! don't you see how cool they are?!!?!" Would love to have some taxidermy too...

Crosswalk in Dupont Circle. One of the most walked areas in the city, and the snow barriers were universally terrible. Didnโt help that cars would stop in the crosswalk so there was no place to go except out into the roadโฆ everyone at my meetings complained about it. Hard to do in heels!!
Driving in to work in Rosslyn today was fine. A few places with dodgy lanes, but generally ok if you stayed in the middle lane. DC walking was a different story. I had two meetings to get to in two well-trafficked places, and crosswalks were all blockedโฆ

28.01.2026 02:15 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0S Columbus Street. Sidewalks are mostly cleared, albeit with some homeowners more lax than others. Saw a stuck post office van on the hill. Hope there is no need for fire hydrant access! And I would not want to try to dig out those cars.
South Columbus and 10th by the 7-11. Pretty bad for pedestrians, even with the sidewalks shoveled.
W&OD Trail somewhat plowed.
Crossing the Pike from the trail was pretty treacherous. That snow bank in the crosswalk goes to my knees at least. Saw a man trying to get across w a stroller - looked hard.
Took another walk on the icy roads today. Still a lot of sidewalks not shoveled in Columbia Forest. W&OD trail is partially cleared, but impossible to cross Columbia Pike safelyโฆ #ArlingtonVA
27.01.2026 22:48 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Entrance from around my outdoor parking spot to the garage. The garage door entrance for cars is well plowed. The pedestrian entrance next to it has barely been touched and you have to climb up a snow bank to get to it. The door doesnโt even open all the way due to snow piled next to it.
Walked for a bit around Columbia Forest. About 30% of sidewalks shoveled. I had dug out my car yesterday, but my asshole parking lot neighbor piled snow from his car behind mine, so I had to do it again! Also, my building cares about plowing for cars, pedestrians not so muchโฆ #ArlingtonVa
