ISO was proud to stand with #Uberdrivers during their long legal battle for the minimum employment rights.
Today #Uber lost in the Supreme Court.
If the govt proceeds with planned law changes to annul this Supreme Court decision, it must pay the political price #nzpol

The International Socialist Organisation of Aotearoa (New Zealand) supports the goals of the Global Sumud Flotilla, & condemns the actions of Israeli forces against them.
Israel has now arrested flotilla activists, including New Zealand citizens Samuel Leason, Rana Hamida, and Youssef Sammour.
Israeli forces have intercepted and boarded boats in the #GlobalSumudFlotilla, which was sailing to #Gaza. The Flotilla was a civilian aid flotilla; its goals are to bring aid supplies to Palestinians who are being starved by Israel, & to bring global attention to Israel's crime of cutting off aid🧵

It’s no accident that a focus on wealth accumulation for the few is complemented by a “tough on crime” approach: there has to be a way of managing the fallout, the communities abandoned by austerity – some way of justifying the violence visited on them
