As for me, I've published two books one in 2019 arguing for people to understand that there's a far right that isn't fascist, and one in 2021 saying "no platform" should be restricted to fascists and not other rightists. I argue those points in movements - don't always win! - but I do argue them

Sorry, I'm being slow here. You're saying that another barrister in my chambers was there on the demo and calling people on the other side "Nazi scum"?

β€˜The court’s concession that the group’s members are not terrorists in the ordinary sense of the term is significant and its importance will increase: any finding that proscription is proportionate will be hard to sustain.’

Any news on the interim stuff?

30.07.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Also, what's the outcome in the short-term; will PA be treated as de-proscribed between now and the JR hearing; or will they and be protesters be subject to the terror consequences in the interim?

30.07.2025 13:29 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What does that mean concretely - what's the remedy? Is this just permission for more hearings, or is actually the proscription decision set aside (maybe for Home Office to make a fresh, proper decision, later)?

New Substack from me, on Lucy Connolly who parts of the right (inc Labour MPs) have presented as a martyr after she posted last year: "β€œMass deportation now, set fire to all the fucking hotels full of the bastards for all I care..."

How Adrianne Black Broke With America’s Far Right With David Duke as a godfather, perhaps it’s no surprise that Adrianne Black ended up on the far right. Since breaking with this toxic political scene, she’s been speaking to audiences about the potential for winning people back from racism and fascism.
