The circumstances in which the offence may be committed are broad and the conduct which may give rise to it is diverse. A summary of its elements must be considered on the basis of the contents of the preceding paragraphs. The elements of the offence of misconduct in a public office are: 1. A public officer acting as such (paragraph 54). 2. Wilfully neglects to perform his duty and/or wilfully misconducts himself (paragraphs 28, 30, 45 and 55). 3. To such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder (paragraphs 46 and 56 to 59). 4. Without reasonable excuse or justification (paragraph 60). As with other criminal charges, it will be for the judge to decide whether there is evidence capable of establishing guilt of the offence and, if so, for the jury to decide whether the offence is proved.

So as to inform debate and promote the public understanding of law, these are the four elements of the offence of Misconduct in Public Office.

I honestly think I'm pretty good on listening to music from beyond radio playlists and the like, and then I see Grammy nominations or festival lineups and think, "how much more work do you want me to do" 😅😂😅.

I had reason to think about this recently. My grandfather was a heavy smoker, the room was always full of grey-green smoke in great big puffs and clouds and at no point did any one of us question if our all-day, Grandstand-to-Dad's Army, Saturday visits were doing any harm.

I like that "frost on the window" is being used as positive nostalgia. I'd have gone for "our homes were damp, cold, chilly hellholes" but that doesn't get shares on Facebook.

As an occasional viewer of Ireland's Eurovision selection process via the Late Late Show, it's not that much of a shock to see RTÉ using a collection of bottle-caps and sponsorship promises to get this over the line.

My favourite so far is getting the cars to drive around the same loop 😅
