#Rust on sea campion (#Silene uniflora, syn. Silene vulgaris subsp. maritima) caused by #Uromyces behenis, inducing characteristic purple spots. Aecia and telia are visible here on the leaves and stems, but this species does not produce urediniospores (Saint-Briac sur Mer, FR).

One year later, same site — the #rust on common ball flower (#Globularia bisnagarica) caused by #Puccinia globulariae is still present. It appears to persist on dry leaf residues. And this time, grayish telia are visible, with basidia beginning to germinate (La Roche-Guyon, FR).
