I don't want another LI because more LIs means more Myths which means more heartbreak. 😂😭

I'm sure Xavier and Caleb have similar predicaments, but I haven't explored their stories much yet. All this to say, while *we* might know their love has a chance in the present day, the LIs don't know that for sure and can only hope.

TL;DR: some call it "Love and Depression" for a reason. XD

Zayne's Foreseer Myth confirms he's lost MC hundreds of times, all because Astra wants him in the Library and doesn't want him prioritizing anything else except Astra. Now he has to wrestle with the fear that he himself might kill her.

Can he break free of Astra? Or will he watch MC die once again?

There's also Sylus, who is implied to want to live and die like any other person, but can't because his soul is cursed to never pass on for as long as MC lives. And this is his punishment for forcing her to kill him.

Can this curse be broken? Or is he doomed to an immortal existence?

Rafayel's route seems to be the most uncertain. In every lifetime, he's forced to choose between saving MC and saving Lemuria, and the Myths *really* hammer in the idea that he can't have both; he *needs* to choose.

Will he find that third option in the present day? Or is it a fool's errand?

I do my best to not think too hard about the Myths since, as some have pointed out, they seem to be "failed timelines" in a sense, while the present day seems to be building up to a happy ending. At the same time, the Myths are so intrinsically linked to the present day, I can't help but think.

I can't help but wonder how many times the LIs have had to watch MC or themselves die. And if the time loop theory is true, it means they've experienced the same tragedies over and over again in a vicious cycle spanning thousands of years or more, all of which only they remember while MC forgets.

All of the myths are so tragic. I get that's the point, but still.

I often get lost in my own head regarding how much pain each LI must feel knowing how many times their love with MC was doomed from the start. Sure, they may have her in the present day, but will this love end like all the others?
