For those not familiar, for the last 50 years Rosie's Place has provided a safe shelter for women experiencing homelessness in Boston and much more. They run a food pantry, offer ESOL classes, provide legal support, assist with housing and job searching, and more. All with no government funding.

Every year at CaptainCon we hold a charity drawing to raise funds for a local organization. This year, we're happy to announce we raised $5,700 to support Rosie's Place (www.rosiesplace.org) our highest amount yet. Check out the video at youtu.be/8QVBIAsd3TA?...

Loved the video. What do you think about sharing STL files? I've seen many friends groups share them around for printing on the back of 1 buy-in. Will the industry embrace this or try to enact draconian DRM on files like the music and video game industries tried back in the day?

What do you all think? Speaking as 20% of the CaptainCon Crew, I love that 3D printing has allowed so many more games to come out, but I wonder if there will be a down side of excessive DRM on STL files the way there was on music and video games as friend groups share files. #miniatures #games
