Today in Madrid, I had the honor of standing alongside my friend Alisa from Kinder Relief Inc — a trusted Luena partner — as she presented her organization’s extraordinary locally-led medical work in Gaza to the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.

“Dream so big I cannot sleep.”

That’s how Love Circus Uganda works. Teaching kids to flip, learn, and lead. Showing them that when you fall down, you always get back up again.

With the help of our local partner, PeaceCrops, we funded a playground in Bova Village for 400 children who needed something safe, something steady, and something that reminded them they’re still kids.

In Cameroon’s Anglophone region, kids have been displaced by war for over seven years.

They're not refugees. They're not in camps. They're not being protected.

They’re internally displaced. Which mostly means they’re surviving without much help or notice.

Curiosity doesn’t care about borders. Hope doesn’t depend on privilege.

At CVC, refugee children like Athieng learn side-by-side with Kenyan classmates from low-income families.
There are no separate tracks. No "us" vs. "them."
Only shared stories, shared futures and the healing power of inclusion.

When 9-year-old Athieng fled South Sudan with her mother, she carried nothing but a small bag and a head full of questions.

At Christ Victory Center (CVC) in Kenya, she found more than safety… she found a seat in a classroom, friends to learn and laugh with, and a reason to hope again.

Across Uganda, we’ve funded over 1,385 desks for rural schools. We made it happen by exclusively partnering with grassroots orgs and local carpenters.

This isn’t about furniture. It’s about focus, inclusion, and dignity. It’s about having a seat at the table.

In rural classrooms across Africa, kids are still learning from the floor.
No desks. No chairs.

At Luena Foundation, we’re partnering with grassroots groups in Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon, and Malawi to change that…with desks built locally and delivered to the schools that need them most.

1 in 3 Ugandan kids under 5 is stunted from chronic malnutrition. It’s a crisis, but local orgs like @eherf_uganda are stepping up. With Luena’s support, they’ve trained caregivers and screened 1,200+ children using local food and knowledge. This is how change starts: from within.

Today we honor Palestinian mothers. Women who raise children under the weight of unimaginable grief, displacement, and war, yet continue to nurture their families despite an all-enveloping darkness.

With just $3,380 in donations, our partners restored 4 boreholes in Malawi, providing clean water to 27,200 people. From local chiefs organizing logistics to community members contributing labor, we pushed for a collective effort at every step and helped communities bootstrap their way to health 🔥
