Could use some external advice. Have had a LOT of people suggest I upload to Newgrounds. Last time I tried (around 2010 or so) I was chased off for doing Sonic content. I don't think I'd replace YouTube, but maybe just to have another place to put my videos? Is there even any traffic there?

Anyway, free palestine, trans rights, fuck donald trump, fuck israel, and fuck sega and paramount for what they're doing. It may seem overwhelming, but something as simple as a video game purchase can make a difference.

But the next one might, or the one after that, until you've lost all autonomy. Be aware of the consequences of your purchases, become at the very least, politically AWARE. And stop finding excuses to support CORPORATIONS. They don't CARE about you. They're using you for political capital.

If you don't care about any of this, and Spongebob is really this important to you, go right ahead. Go buy the stupid racing game with mute DLC characters and enjoy yourself. But understand what that purchase impacts. Maybe this merger won't directly affect your life.

They don't want you to own anything. They don't want you to ask questions. They don't want you to do anything other than CONSUME. Just buy the product. This is a massive issue across the board, but as I am part of the Sonic community, I feel it is important to get the conversation rolling here.

SEGA is COMPLACENT with what is happening and so are you if you are purchasing this game, whether you intend to or not. Now, more than ever, is time to send a message. The United States is being run by a sexual predator with many corporate friends at his side.

Every product you buy, sends a message. This now brings me to Sonic Crossworlds. Not only is that game a massive scam because of its lack of polish and attention to detail for a game with a PREMIUM price tag, the game also has Paramount properties all throughout it. SEGA is getting more involved.

EVERYONE loved this movie, that's all that mattered to you. Now that Trump is in office, Paramount thanks you. Paramount is not your friend. SEGA is not your friend. And quite frankly, SEGA's doing their own stupid stuff too, like refusing to recast Eggman after zionist remarks by Mike Pollock.

We needed to send a message that this is not okay, but thanks to toxic positivity and the social media hivemind, you all made Sonic 3 a massive success and shut down everyone who didn't support it or like it for whatever reason. You bullied voices, community noted on twitter, did whatever you could.

The only people who win when a product makes money are the CEOs and investors. Unless you're a SEGA/Paramount investor or higher up, you shouldn't care at all, unless you just need more Sonic so badly, as if that's so fucking important. People said they would boycott Sonic 3, and then crumbled.

By supporting Sonic Movie 3, and the Knuckles Show, and these other Sonic cinematic universe properties, you gave Paramount money and leverage to pull this off. Sonic fans are so obsessed with the idea of something PERFORMING well financially. It's completely ridiculous.

Paramount is supporting a genocide in Palestine, and is currently engaging in media censorship and playing into a fascist playbook to earn President Trump's support for a massive corporate merger with Skydance, another media giant. This is bigger than Sonic and should absolutely concern you.

Sonic fans, for far too long, are way too absorbed in the idea of supporting a BRAND above all else. You attack those who simply disagree, and you religiously support Sonic. Whether you like it or not, we are surrounded by politics, and the very things you choose to support play a role in that.

Sonic fans, we need to have a serious conversation about blindly supporting products. You are supporting sweeping political movements and falling for a dangerous playbook. We must boycott. A thread.
