In a series all about training four characters never stopped: Goku, Vegeta, Picollo, and Tien. The man deserves more respect.

Tien’s beatdown on Cell is one of my favorite moments in the whole series.

You can also absolutely tell which creative teams knew who how to tell a story in 8 pages and which didn’t. That is a lost art form that needs to be rediscovered.

The Superman Sundays were mostly nice for me to look at Swanderson which will get me through a lot.

There were some strips (Black Canary for example) where I could not stand the art so I couldn’t get into the story.

There were some points about 60% of the way through where I was only reading 10-18 pages out of 48.

A more constant rotation of lineups, with a better balance of proven and proving creatives.

Keep Superman and Green Lantern as your cornerstones until the later gets a new book again, and don’t waste time with Blackhawk and OG Secret Six.

This was a really good experiment, but I can see why it didn’t even last a year. While there were some great stories (GL, Wild Dog, etc) there were more mediocre to bad stories. The lineup towards the end was better, but too little too late.

DC 89 checklist

As I’m nearing the end of season 2 of Melrose Place, these four have had straight up villain origin stories, only lacking science experiments gone wrong.

Oh that’s good. This is one of the cornerstone shows with my dad.

I think they have done a lot right with the characters such as keeping Peggy egotistical but parrying it back from how it got in later seasons.

That was the moment where I’m like, okay I can settle in now.

The first episode was kind of what I expected, and will probably be the one I go back to the least.

The thing that throws me is the voice of Dale. Neither Huss nor Hardwick sound 100%.
