At Centennial Authority meeting today, authority approved NC State's request to use its share of naming-rights revenue, about $500,000/yr, to support the basketball program, with restrictions on how the money is spent and a reserve fund.

Lenovo Center renovations begin during Canes playoffs — under cover of darkness Three years and $300 million of upgrades to the Lenovo Center have begun with dirty, noisy work to carve out new space along the outer rim of the arena’s lowest level.

Three years of renovations to the Lenovo Center have started, and fans — and most employees — will never see the results of this first part. But carving out new space under the arena in the middle of the night opens up options elsewhere.
