There’s a #myth in our #culture that a goal during times of difficulty — like grief, illness etc. — is a state of acceptance & that acceptance looks like a constant, unruffled state of #serenity. You’ll never be upset or hurt by the difficult circumstances again. That’s FALSE!

That feeling when your mom takes out the file and shows you all the paperwork involved in her future demise. I hit a worse wall than #brainfog but it's worth knowing there will be less confusion.
She is just fine! 85 & could be mistaken for 75. Now to rest my brain for awhile.

Yes, I get those. As cluster headaches, & I've got Photopsia--extremely sensitive to light and sound. No real nausea tho. I see unexplained dark spots in light, & bright lights in dark.
I track symptoms & prodrome etc with the app MigraineBuddy, my neurologist recommended it. It's really helpful. 😊

When I lived on the Central Coast, there were plenty of them in Carmel Valley and in the Big Sur area--us Girl Scouts were taught how to avoid them by climbing a tree 🌳 😳 Schoolmates's dad had a wild board hunting business in Carmel Valley. 🐗

Absolutely. It is vital to just be allowed to sit with grief and acknowledge the sadness. We shouldn't encourage a culture that tells us to hurry up and "get over it."
