Wouldnโ€™t Congress be required to appropriate funding in creation of a program to wind down and pay severance to government workers?

If you want further proof that American journalism is dead, the Hollywood Reporter showed more moral clarity in their coverage of Elon Muskโ€™s Nazi salute than the Washington Post, NY Times, LA Times, WSJ, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS or NBC. Cowards all.

I completely agree. I thought it was a great story and I am deeply saddened that we will see no more of it.

The story with the different takes on the pivotal event was a BRILLIANT use of an old school Japanese Samurai film method of storytelling, which dives to the heart of what Star Wars is.

I thought it was build upon the work of others and pretend it is all yours, the average user wonโ€™t ever know anyway.

Yikes! Thatโ€™s really gross and feels like something one might expect out of North Korea.

This whole interview is openly a sane washing of Curtis Yarvin. The guy watched election night in 2016, with Peter Thiel, at Thielโ€™s home.

He has written extensively about how many, many people need to just die, in order to push forward his โ€œvisionโ€.

Heโ€™s had some serious PR training done.

Egg laying birds generally have tougher meat and far less meat as well. According to what I just read.

Deeply unwell, profoundly naive and honestly? Some of his terrifying flights of fancy come across as deranged in a way that seems quite mentally ill.

I feel this in my bones! I just need to know the location of the widget, Iโ€™m in the room! I donโ€™t need a 35 minute video that starts with and flourish graphic and then, โ€œhey guys.. itโ€™s me ya boi!!โ€

This has been going on for about four decades now. You canโ€™t place the blame on one single President, when it has been a machine of corruption dismantling our Democratic Norms.

Good.

Opening this up and letting us know who is who will give us an opportunity to hold them to account. We. Wed one of the two parties to start to actually represent Americans. Right now, itโ€™s most likely going to be the Democratic Party, as they lean mostly that direction.

Giving the reigns to the most profoundly stupid people is the most unwise move this nation has ever made.

We need to make looking at people who say such things like they are stupid, just say, youโ€™re wildly wrong and then ignore them. Thereโ€™s no need to try and get through to them.

Except they donโ€™t know how to fix anything, wonโ€™t have enough food or replacement parts.

Theyโ€™re clueless idiots. You need more than a few millions probably closer to 150 million people to HOPE to maintain a society near the tech level we enjoy today. Thatโ€™s not even advancing tech.

The problem is it will take billions of us, working in concert, to do anything about the climate catastrophe, as we have allowed things to go to far. Their plans seem to be:

1. Wipe out billions
2. ???
3. Maintain the Status Quo

No worries about runaway climate change. Just death and more death.

Friends, Romans... well really anyone, yes even you!

If you are a PC gamer of any sort? I was just going through the pile of games that Amazon Prime Gaming is giving away through it's own launcher, GoG and EPIC Games. It's a HUGE list of pretty neat titles!

We live in the Golden Age of PC Gaming!

Itโ€™s not magical thinking. Unions could negotiate higher wages to offset the difference out of the savings, companies that needed to hire new workers would start raising wages to pull in new talent. Eventually that will balance out rates of pay. I know a small business that would give raises.

21.12.2024 00:25 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Iโ€™m beginning to think youโ€™re pretending to be a โ€œblue dotโ€ in a sea of red. A lot of these objections you are bringing up are pretty โ€œredโ€ playbook and objecting to the mere hint that the law might require giving people raises.

Employers choose cut rate plans because sometimes, thatโ€™s the only thing they can afford. Operating a business isnโ€™t all windfall after windfall.
Maybe youโ€™re talking about larger corporations that are very profitable and looking to increase that by even 1% more?

20.12.2024 22:18 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

โ€ฆ and yeah, youโ€™ll have to pay in too. If youโ€™re actually a blue dot in a red area? Itโ€™s odd you wouldnโ€™t agree to fixing the system for everyone, leaving nobody twisting in the wind.

Medicare for all is not that complex. Everyone pays in a flat rate from their income, it may require reworking some tax code to capture the way very wealthy and executives would restructure their pay, but everyone would be covered. Itโ€™s just Medicare, expanded to every citizen.

Musk's whole deal seems to be destabilize the entirety of all western nations. I read that he put out a statement promising to do the same thing to the UK that he did with Trump in the US.

He's a Bond Villain.

What about ensuring that every American is covered and will not have to worry about having their family destroyed by medical bills? What about the poor family whose breadwinner has a very treatable blood cancer, but currently has no insurance? They should just die, right? Is that your position?

20.12.2024 20:24 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

/2 Which would come with a commensurate huge drop in insurance costs for small businesses that even with 10 employees can be paying over $200k a year to cover workers and independents. Cutting that expense down leaves money for higher wages, which many small businesses would start doing.

20.12.2024 19:45 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Maybe not the people YOU speak to, but I've seen that addressed over and over again. Many people pay well over 12 and some upwards of 20% of their income in insurance and related costs each year. A Flat 8% tax has been shown to more than cover the needs, with removing the middle man. /1
