The turn of the millennium was crazy

I know this old photographer. He’s in his 90s and he sold me a tremendous amount of old expired b/w film for next to nothing. So now I’m almost exclusively shooting expired film. It’s a rabbit hole

Shot this a couple of weeks ago. 3iso

I got some really old microfilm that dont have expiration date on the box. The old photographer I got it from say he could have bought it in the 60s. But old low iso microfilm is a totally different thing to like more common filmstock. Microfilms seems to last forever.

That’s crazy good for a film that old.

Agfapan 400 expired in 1997. For an expired high iso film I’m quite impressed with the results. Exposed it at 100 and developed it in Adox FX-39 1:9 for 11min. Shot it with my Minolta AF-C, such a fun light catching machine.

Expired high iso films are tricky. But fingers crossed

Todays outfit is gonna be Minolta AF-C and Agfa Agfapan 400 expired in 1997. The camera is truly a little gem but the film can be a little to old. But let’s call it art and see what it can do. Now I’m off to the dentist, wish me luck.

I got some adapters with diods that reduces the voltage. But not for the Minox. But hearing aid batteries is an option

Thanks for your response Jacy. It’s a great little camera. But with modern batteries I have to compensate 2 stops. I set the iso dial to 25iso but the camera expose it as 100iso due to the higher voltage. I got tons of expired b/w film in the freezer so I might just have to use it.

I took my Minox 35 GT out for
a walk yesterday. It was loaded with Kodak Tmax 100 that expired 2006.
Developed in Adox FX-39 1:14 11min. What a great little camera that is and it’s size makes it super pocketable.

Shot some really old expired film. Agfa-Gevaert Copex Positive 3iso.
Bulk loaded this from a 100ft roll. No expiration date visible. But the old photographer I got it from said it could be at least from the 60s.
