Traumatised, I guess? I hope you recover, Steve.
For an obviously dull and overcast day, you have made the image glow nicely. Neatly done, Steve.

30.01.2026 12:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That looks like it should be attached to a WW2 or 1950's aeroplane!
As aircraft are costly .... a rickshaw and chauffeur would be a money saving alternative! ๐
Totally agree.

Plus, the neg is large enough to carry a smooth range of tones - and linked with the natural vignette - makes it look like some images I have seen in local museums from 100 + years ago. (The image - not me!)
Super. The last / waterway one, especially. The pinhole image has a very painterly, old-fashioned look.
30.01.2026 08:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Great definition, Steve.
29.01.2026 20:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Lovely. Photography is often about experimenting.
For panning, I recall an experienced photographer passing on tips (using a real camera - decades ago). I recall him saying to practice at shorter distances, eg, 5 - 10m to subject - perhaps someone running across the frame?
Recruit your neighbours! ๐
Ooof. That will take quite a while, methinks. Best of luck, Gav.
29.01.2026 08:44 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah. Feel for all of you out there, Tom. So glad to see the Minnesotans sticking together through this. I hope it all dissappears soon.

28.01.2026 08:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That may be, Dave. I have not used Tri X for 12 years or more, but I think the 120 base layer did have a smidgen darker tone over its 135 sibling?
28.01.2026 08:33 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Hi Arnold ...... tricky (for me) .... I do not know. Perhaps it is the age of the 120? Was it stored poorly?
I am re-posting this with #believeinfilm and #filmphotography hashtags as there are others on here who do their own developing, that may have an idea - and perhaps will chip in.

Trees in January - on a day where we had more than 10 mins of non flat light!
HP5 at box. 50mm lens.
Aaaah, as in overtaking!?
Sorry, you wrote it as if he squeezed between you and the kerb, so undertaking you .... I was imagining, maybe stationary at a red light where you were perhaps turning right.
Thanks for clearing that up.
He was obviously both ignorant and dumbly thuggish.
I hope you are ok.
