Page 291 in Tisha Mark’s law dictionary. Photo of my law dictionary opened to a page with a charcoal sketch of a nighttime landscape with a full moon over some bare trees on the bank of a body of water. Words on the page are partially visible underneath a thin layer of gesso and the charcoal sketch. Light is streaming in through a window, and on the windowsill at the top of the photo is a coffee cup, one piece of charcoal, an eraser, a vase with a cutting from a jade bonsai plant that I’m hoping will start to grow roots, and a partial view of a potted plant. A crumpled paper towel with charcoal smudges on it is to the right of the law dictionary.

I haven’t sketched in my law dictionary in so long that plants are now taking over my windowsill!

I feel that whenever 1/2 frame comes up it's a good time to mention a past master and favorite of mine: Ray K. Metzker. 1/2 frame was but a part of his work but I've always loved how he would incorporate the frame rebate within his compositions. This is 1960s “Chicago School” era work. #halfframe

I think this shot might have caused a little bit of internal reflection, maybe, or maybe something else. The sun is kind of a little brighter than everything else. But I think it was worth it, esp since LR is good at removing burned in scatter tracks of exposed silver.

Looking up at the mast from the bow with the main and jib full and a bit of a stripe of cloud in the clearish sky.

Not a clear sky anymore. Clouds with a small bit of sky near the top and the stays from the mast and a club pennant flying from one of them and the shoreline at the bottom

Finally a shot from the cockpit with the dodger up and stipes of clouds and the moon. I'd taken a chance the moon would show up on film. and it did.
