No it isn’t. The survey shows that response numbers differ sharply “by race, income and age”.

It says on age, race, and income. Which is what the survey shows.

It’s also the interesting part of the data… not that the area doesn’t like it overall. That’s to be expected.

The “sharply divided” part was about the demographic breakdowns. And that’s supported by the data.

The article suggests it may have to do with a ballot proposal for the state to seize 5% of the value of all their assets.

There are multiple mentions and photos on the NYT noting his name and that he’s being regarded as a hero.

Almost 100% weirdly irrelevant “what about” from people who obviously didn’t even skim the article.

I don’t know why NYT even bothers doing thorough and informative stories like this, anymore.

I don’t know exactly why I like this, but I do.

I like it too. I think it’s spending a little too much time treading water, but it’s a great setup and there’s lots they can do with it.

I’ve been told to look into commercial and signage models, though I think they’re often not spec’d quite like consumer tvs. Maybe something to look into?

I see no evidence that they canceled important and time sensitive stories to report this.

They’re reporting the NTSB final report, which was released yesterday. There’s no journalistic problem here.

Neat. I did something like this with a 3 color eink and an esp32, where a pi running elsewhere generates the image from a cron retrieval of rss feeds, weather, and a comic. I just cut some beveled mats and threw it in a picture frame.
