This week has been a year. Hit a tree on the way to rehearsal. In the rain. Thankful that it was just the thinnest part. No damage to me, or the car, or the cello.

Just watched Bill Maher skewer EVERYBODY on CNN. Satire, yes, and I even laughed a wee bit. But man, I don’t like this bitter place we find ourselves in.

He very clearly has narcissistic personality disorder and think he can just learn on the job. His lack of knowledge of the pan-Pacific and other regions was on display, and this particular geo-political ignorance is what scares me the most.

I’m so horrified by these choices. Hegseth really worries me, and yes, I agree the questions wer shallow and didn’t address the most troubling aspects of this nomination; namely that he has run other agencies he has been in charge of into the ground.

Or served in combat. And that’s just the women. This position is far too important for a man of dubious character and a deeply flawed past to head such an enormous agency, where national security is at risk. I say vote NO. Surely there are better qualified candidates.

I must admit my sadness and frustration with today’s hearing for Sec. of Defense. I found the questions shallow, despite the hard hitting nature of the questions about his personal life. We already know his”story”.
