And finally, we get to the executive branch itself, which seems to have
already royally screwed themselves over with one of their first
executive orders out the gate: Executive Order 14166, which I will not
type the full name of because it's both inane and too long for this
text box, declared that only male and female are genders recognized by the United States Government, and that those genders are determined by sex organs at conception.

However, because all human embryos start with *female* sex organs until about 6 to 7 weeks when secondary sex characteristics form...well, to quote one Rep. Sarah McBride: "It appears that he just declared everyone a woman from conception."

Obviously, the cruelty (and stupidity) is the point here--obviously the
science is irrelevant, the point is to legislate us out of existence
--but this obvious oversight will make this executive order--which,
like all executive orders, are not --almost trivial to challenge and
defeat in court.

And, for the record, if you happen to have been assigned male at birth
but you find that you're strangely okay with the *idea* of this new
change...consider talking about it with your new sisters in your local
trans community. There's more options than just the one you were born with, and you just might have more in common with us than you thought.

β€œThey were careless people, Tom and Daisyβ€”they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”
