3, and maybe most important) OPEN COMMUNICATION!!! Have a system in place during tense situations: ask your players if they're comfortable! Ask if they need a break! Ask if they want to backpedal a scene and redact some screwed up details. Keep their happiness and comfort in mind at all times!

2) Have alternatives! Some people don't have access to physical dice or a computer for a virtual tabletop! There are bots for Discord and apps for phones to roll dice and make sheets! Don't exclude based on technological difficulties!

1) ASK YOUR PLAYERS QUESTIONS!! Find out what triggers them, what they want out of their characters, what kind of world they want to see, etc. That way they all get what they want out of it and don't get made uncomfortable.
