I'm not sure why NYU and Stanford both wanted to hire a "total grifter" but putting aside his research and looking at his podcasting, he basically just has experts on and discusses various research findings. Most criticism against him are swing and miss. My issue is he refuses to engage on politics.

I went on there a few times and people were just constantly talking about Twitter which is kind of funny because that's what I am doing now. I think it's mostly journalists sharing their own work. Definitely not a thing.

I curate my feed pretty tightly on X which minimizes the sludge but for sure it is there. Being on X is like living in the city. It's fun and interesting but it comes with some pretty grimy stuff.

Same here on NYC politics and events. Plus I follow crypto and space and other tech that just isnt on here. Also totally true about the community being relatively intolerant which goes to my point about diversity of opinion. Maybe it evolves. Would be easier if Elon just took the loss and sold X LOL

I just think there isn't sufficient diversity of opinion here and this place also lacks the breadth of content compared to X. I don't hate it here but it certainly doesn't interest me much. Is threads still a thing?
