Just helped my daughter with hers. She’s a full time student in a MSW program (so interning and working part time). Her cost went up 90.4% (from $188 to $358).

My husband has an “Aunt Connie” who has always been Aunt Connie. We’d been married like 20+ years before I learned she was technically his dad’s cousin. Splitting hairs much?

My daughter is 26, and a full
time student in a MSW program, and can only work part time. She also has type 1 diabetes (so has expensive medical needs). ACA is about $80 a month this year. I’m very concerned what it will be next year. She NEEDS coverage.

Remember all the way back to like 2019 - when lives were valued? Those were the good old days.

I love all your podcasts and often listen with my (adult) kids. I feel like listening to reality in such a down to earth way has kept me sane the last bunch of years.

I agree that’s not the norm. But the idea of working and saving until you can retire isn’t in any way a scam. If you’re unable to save, you work longer. That’s just economics.

How is it a “scam”? It’s not ideal - but it’s about choices. My father has been retired for 33 years. I’m 54 and I’ve been retired for 6.

Having served with many career civil and foreign service employees, I am comfortable stating with conviction that these dedicated, non-partisan public servants are the essential backbone of our society. What Trump is doing is a gift to our adversaries and catastrophic to a functioning government.

Turo provides insurance during the rentals. I’ve been renting out a van for a couple of years now. My insurance company is aware.

I learned when I was 16, because my parents took a road trip and only left me the manual car. It wasn’t pretty - but I was motivated!

I feel like this is most of us. We are not religious, but we celebrate Christmas as a family gathering, an opportunity to unite and give a gift to the people who are important to us.

That’s already a thing. The pickers who move refrigerated goods to pallets destined for trucks, then stores, work long shifts in fully refrigerated warehouses. My son is one of them.

My kids are 35, 33, 25. Still haven’t felt compelled to send any sort of scathing email.
