If I was in opposition I would make a webpage dedicated to tracking the hundreds of millions of dollars that have been wasted by poor decision-making and/or scandals under the UCP.

More day shelter space is a start but we also need to activate the winter emergency response sooner, stop discharging people from facilities without proper clothes, and stop confiscating tents and other survival supplies.

Alberta is building the same system with capacity for 300 adults in secure drug jails, plus room for 500 children seized for drug detention each year.

The legislation is already in place (Compassionate Intervention Act) and citizens are already being appointed to legally empowered decision panels.

I’ve shown data before that link ambulance shortages to spikes in overdose deaths.
This isn’t a system in collapse, it’s a system being intentionally collapsed by the government.
