Nosferatu may be my movie of the year. Eggers so clearly loves the original movie and understands what makes it work, but also returns to Stoker’s Dracula to add to the story. As a long-time fangirl of the original, Eggers’s version was the perfect Christmas gift. 🖤

My family definitely isn’t as into horror as me (my Mom isn’t going), and were hesitant to see a horror movie on Christmas, but they know how much Nosferatu in particular means to me, and my Dad, uncle and sister all thought it looked cool, so they surprised me with tickets! 🖤

I think you absolutely should! I think there’s a lot to appreciate in terms of the way it fleshes out Rohan, the storytelling, and the beautiful animation.

War of the Rohirrim was awesome. A lot less fantasy elements and heavier on human drama than LoTR and the Hobbit due to being set predominantly in Rohan, but it’s a great self-contained story that still sets up elements of the LoTR trilogy, and the animation is beautiful. 🖤

This movie commits to it ridiculous premise with every fiber of its being, and I love it for that. Big dumb fun movie, knows exactly what it is, and embraces it.

Theres dodgy green screen and iffy effects here and there, but overall, I dug this flick. Special kudos to the Krampus bits. 🤣👍
