How I'm posting this month

For real. Adding to that, one of my biggest pet peeves when I worked in a dean's office was hearing undergraduate students referred to as "kids," when they are actually young adults capable of taking responsibility for their own continuing education.

Yeah, that's just about what I had in mind to say. It's good to be caring and show concern, but there are limits to what you can do without overreaching.

Seconding the sedation dentistry. I had my wisdom teeth out a couple months ago, and I was simply not present for it.

Sedation dentistry is no longer weird. Phone cameras are really good. The price of solar panels has dropped by tens of thousands. Southern white rhinos, giant pandas, Arabian oryx and Stellar sea lions are no longer endangered.

And, I can testify, modern cancer treatments are fucking amazing.

I recently started the fifth season of a run-through of Babylon 5. This season is new to me, since I stopped at the end of season four when I watched it in college.
