There was one Christmas where my parents gave me a VHS copy of The Little Mermaid and I watched it relentlessly for the entirety of winter break while eating giant bag of peanut M&Ms and it still lives on in my memory as the best Christmas ever. John is recreating that memory for me this morning. 😭

Right? What is there beyond 11:30 except absolute misery? Get me home.

I had a dream last night that I was out with a bunch of friends. It was nearing 11:30 and they all wanted to go to a second venue. I got so mad and kept saying it was late and I needed to be in bed, so I made a complete scene about it and got an uber home.

My dad used to keep a collection of fun pencils in his filing cabinet for whenever we’d need pencils for our homework. It was always special to get one of the filing cabinet pencils. After he died, I went through his filing cabinet and found one of the special pencils, still intact and unused.
