Yes that’s certainly the issue, bit aside from that if someone is taking the piss and is trying to sell or rent a building which is clearly non-compliant then its important that we know we can report them. Also, when buying it will be even more important to make sure you’re getting an inspection.

I hope that as we develop Mount Eden and further develop Eden Terrace we can bring some of these things that make it beautiful into the future. I am without doubt that some fine examples of these old buildings will be preserved but the buildings are such a minor feature from my perspectiv.

And like, often great setbacks for the buildings themselves and all of this just makes for a really nice urban environment. And reminded me of what I really enjoyed about neighbourhoods, especially the older ones, in Alabama.

I’ve been doing some exploring of the Mount Eden heritage area and there are no doubt some lovely examples of some cool old houses around but I think the best thing about the area is that there are some nice wide streets, some great trees and fauna and some really fantastic streetscapes.

I think probably actually you have real wage stagnation across multiple key markets for AAA video games alongside cost of living related aspects of CPI rising disproportionate to general inflation in a number of those markets. This means that people can’t afford additional entertainment expenses.

Worth a look at actual weekly earnings. Note that lower quartile earnings have been well below inflation for months. This is the plan: run unemployment high, subjugate workers, go bene-bashing in the media, force people into shit, precarious jobs working for your donors. (Ends)

Oh, I actually think more people should get their property revalued every cycle. I’m all for the Luxons paying more rates and taxes but that‘s what rating policy and tax law are for.
