I think some of it is age. I’m only a couple years younger and hit a point recently where keeping my body functioning & feeling good does take way more focus & intention than it used to, seemingly suddenly. Hard not to freak out about that a little, but maybe privately, esp with a younger audience.

I was thinking about something similar (likely the same person). Also some glowing posts about GLPs. I don’t think any of the science is wrong, but lacking sociological and psychological context it feels worrisome.

I mean, we've always known this in practice, but they are trying to make it settled law that copyright exists for large corporations but not for individual artists

I’m noticing friends and colleagues resigning from things like volunteer boards or local organizations because they’ve just run out of steam for unpaid interpersonal organization while everyone is not at their best. No one really has capacity to fill those vacancies either.

I’m showing up less, but hopefully with more impact. I try to do things have a noticeable effect - even if that is just connecting with one person - rather than things that checked the “do something” box in my anxious brain.
