there is no empirical relationship between a teacher's accent and their ability to teach. but there is a long-standing ideological relationship which frames non-dominant and non-standardised accents as signs of imagined pedagogical illegitimacy.

Council of Europe experts praise LGBT Inclusive Education in Scotland - Time for Inclusive Education Time For Inclusive Education

The latest report on the UK by the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) has commended our approach to LGBT Inclusive Education.

I was working with some student teachers this week and I talked about the idea of sticking with your values and subverting from within the system. I do believe it's possible and that we move forwards incrementally. Progress is slow for sure but also inevitable, even when we temporarily drop back.

Practitioner Enquiry Tip of the Week: enquiry when you are not classroom based. It is really important that educational leaders are engaged in enquiry and model process, we mustn't see it as just domain of early career or classroom based colleagues /1 🧵
