I have to be honest. I enjoyed Naked Gun more than Fantastic Four.

Poster for the movie I enjoyed, "The Naked Gun." The star of the picture, a mister Liam Neeson is in the foreground of the poster doing a split (in a suit; he's wearing a suit with a red or brown tie) with both legs splayed out to the edges of the poster. Behind him are the words - in big pink letters - THE NAKED GUN. Beneath it says, "The Law's Reach Never Streched This Far. Coming Soon" and underneath that is the skyline for Los Angeles, the city of dreams! Anyway, you have a good night.

They did it. They pulled it off. The Naked Gun is easily one of my favorite films of the year. It just machine-guns jokes in a way that I missed so much. It is stupid. It is nonsense. It broke me and remade me. I'm a better man for having witnessed this movie. Go see it in a theater with a crowd.

Got up at 5AM to write a little before heading to the brewery for the day. We'll brew 6,000 liters of our lager Cugmajstor at Pivovara Medvedgrad today. Friday off from my regular day job coloring comics. Gotta have a day with my brewer friends and drink straight off the gigantic tank. Woo hoo!

Stellar musicians on that album with Robert Fripp, Percy Jones, John Cale, Eno, Phil Collins (on drums, where he belongs). I discovered Eno when I was 16 because Bauhaus covered Third Uncle, so thanks to them for that.

I'm sure it WAS set up properly, just not a sound I thought worked well. Too tinny and harsh and didn't integrate well with the rest of the set. Yeah, I know, make it stand out. But it didn't work well, imho.

Mario something? My son said he's the singer's brother. I don't know anything about them, though. He was great, though his snare sounded like crap. (My son and I are bother drummers.)

Took my son (14, metalhead, excellent drummer) to see Gojira last night in Zagreb. Me, I'm not into metal at all, but the concert was great. Stage show was fantastic and I even enjoyed the music. So, a win. Now it's Monday and time to get back to work, a bit of a mish-mash working for DC and Marvel.

The controversial deepfake video of Trump starts about halfway into this video. Watch it. Laugh at the dictator.

And to people who don't speak Croatian, it just sounds like some Slavic language, which fits for Eastern Europe with Slavic languages in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, all of the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria...

I doubt anyone here cared. Croatia isn't some country antagonizing anyone. And the actors were Croatian. And Germany shouldn't be demonized forever.

"Boravia" is just "Moravia," a region in Czechia with one letter changed, so it does sound like a Slavic country. The actors spoke Croatian, and believe me, everyone in the theater here in Croatia noticed. But yeah, that other country name sure doesn't sound European.

Me, loving Grant Morrison in San Francisco, circa 1997ish, the night of the Mad Bastards signing at Comix Experience.

I think more in km, far as that goes, but I've been in Croatia for 19 years, so it took over after a certain point. I regularly drive about 140 kmph on the highway here. Converting that 87 mph somehow sounds like more, though, strangely enough.

I use metric and imperial units back and forth all the time, partially because I'm a brewer and some of my equipment is in imperial, some in metric. Cool fact: 1 liter of water at room temp weighs 1 kg. And I'm a runner, so I know 5km = 3.1 miles. Imperial's deeper in my brain, but metric's easier.
