3rd party voters in 48 states were so few that they could not sway the outcome of the electoral votes. They cannot be meaningfully blamed for an action leading to an outcome when no other action available to them could have changed that outcome.

Which is def fair. I couldn't care less about human rights for LLMs. I only care about it insofar as it seems to often be "I'm not touching you" bigotry aimed at real people.

At the same time, seeing white folks making thinly-veiled racist skits like "I'm not racist because it's aimed at the LLMs, it just has all the trappings of racist behavior"... I think it's worth asking if "clanker" is important enough to hold onto, or if it's maybe worth generally avoiding.

I will say I'm very frustrated with people who are coming at it from the angle "but it's dehumanizing the LLMs!" Because the LLMs are very much not human, and it makes the people objecting to "clanker" jokes look like deeply unserious people.

That's why I felt the need to say something. She's good people, and she's in good faith.

I mean that's fair. At the same time, the OK hand gesture isn't inherently racist, but it was also used for some time as a racist dogwhistle.

Even if it can be used in a way that is sincerely not aimed at real world minorities, we should at least be conscious of its use as a dogwhistle.

Also, just for the record, Tracy is good people. She's not doing anything in bad faith. I'm very confident of that.
