we make a lot of jokes about the silly gay horse game but it is genuinely impressive how the artists and writers represent not just the blend of the horse and jockey in the uma but also manage to make links to often complex things like real world horse bloodlines.

My dream would be for as the story progresses and as she faces more losses/setbacks the strain of keeping things together both literally and emotionally makes the void start slipping out. An eye pops out mid-cutscene to reveal a snapping mouth in the socket, tendrils writhe under her skin, etc.

I love Xal, she's a great antagonist, but my one complaint is I just know she's gonna be in that body for good, MAYBE in the big finale we'll see her start to take a more voidy form for the final fight, and I want some voidy body horror from her before then
