I don't think ain-al-assad was targeted, as per the other attacks in Iraq they all happened on solely Iraqi bases which is interesting, my main theory is some messaging/scores to be settled between pro iranian groups and Iraqi gov who was seen as facilitating Israeli attacks.

They stopped, todays flight wouldn't be even near Iran, it was the mission launched on the 19th that hit today

For the real mission (tweet below) probably the planes took off on the evening of the 19th of june (around 23:00 gmt) reached Garcia after 16 hours (or Guam but doubt that), crews rested and took off again to hit Iran

The ones that we supposed took off on the 20th where the ones that striked, they had a resting pause in Diego Garcia and took off again for Iran.

Nope. The ones that took off today couldn't be even remotely close to Iran now. And mostly, they wouldn't have the tankers on ADSB for a strike mission.
