Poet and memoirist Afric McGlinchey will lead an immersive creative writing workshop at the 2025 Allingham Festival on โ€œSetting and Weather as Metaphorโ€.
The two-hour workshop for 15 participants will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 am in Kilbarron House, Ballyshannon on Saturday morning, November 8.

It seems cruel especially to the control group for the pilot. If a scheme has generated a 39% return to the State then the sensible thing would be to expand it to an additional 2000 applicants and not mothball it till next September. That's an awful big cliff for people to drop off in February.

Thanks Jackie. I had one short story rejected 27 times over a couple of years before it found a really great home. I knew it had *something* Just needed to get it in front of the right eyes. A normal human being would've taken the hint. Can't even bring myself to look at my submittable page anymore
