Watched all 4 seasons of Astrid. Patience needs to step out of the shadow of Astrid and become it's own thing, the romance in Patience seemed rushed. As the character of Be is out and the subplot of her son having autism gone (I assume) Patience has an opportunity to be more original.

Astrid like Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a hyper-realistic depiction of autism. I think Patience is more grounded in how a lot of us are, this is aided by Ella Purvis who is on the spectrum rather than someone playing us (no disrespect to Astrid & Woo as I enjoy them too and The Good Doctor).

First block of season two filming completed last week. Season one is six episodes, the second will be eight.

Six episodes in season one. Eight in season 2. At the moment Patience is just a remake of Astrid but I hope that it has some original teleplays soon, maybe the season 2 recast will facilitate that.

I saw Astrid before Patience. I like Astrid but the depiction of autism is more hyper-realised than Patience that is more grounded. Most of us are quite ordinary really. I also like The Good Doctor and Extraordinary Attorney Woo although Woo is even more hyper real.

Recently made a promo film for Autism Acceptance Week with Autism Hampshire. Goes live 31st March. It's my second film, I hope it's more Empire Strikes Back than Joker Folies A Deux! But seriously I hope the message gets out: we may seem weird and eccentric but our lives have meaning and value.

It's like quid. There is no plural, it's a quid or fifty quid not quids. My latest beef is aircrafts. No plural on that either.

My life is going crazy.
I wrote the lyrics for a song, Autism Man, which has been recorded by The NoMen. We are hoping to donate the song to Autism Hampshire for fundraising.
I started a page for the new TV series Patience on Facebook and the number of fans meeting there is steadily going up.
