Great to see our paper on the UK fiscal architecture out just as a new perceived fiscal crisis emerges. Our paper shows how the UK government spends money into existence and withdraws it temporarily again with gilts to support monetary policy and provide safe assets for the non-bank private sector.

Alt i alt fandt vi ikke tegn på at et nyt ‘vindmølleeventyr’ skulle være under opsejling. Det vil derfor være relevant for regeringen at foretage en strategisk evaluering af indsatsen på et robust datagrundlag i 2025.

Der var både opløftende og mindre lovende resultater. Danmark har fx mange klimarelaterede patenter og eksport - dog cirka halvdelen inden drevet af vindenergiteknologi. DK er ikke længere førende inden for forskningsmidler til energiteknologi.

Vi belyste Danmarks forudsætninger for at bidrage globalt gennem forskning og innovation via tre indikatorer:
👩‍🔬 1) offentlige forskningsmidler
📝 2) klimarelaterede patenter
⛴️ 3) klimarelateret eksport
