I only use water to thin (almost) all paints, though I have their Medium. It’s great for thinning washes but I’ve not used it for other stuff.

Cheers, I love them. They’re very bright though, but the coverage is excellent and they don’t need much thinning compared to Vallejo. The bottles tend to overflow, which is my main concern with them.

I took a wild swing at one of Charles XII's lads, and it's not too bad. I feel I lack some colours, like a proper buff and possibly a slightly more muted yellow, but then again I might try @sonicsledgehammer.bsky.social's Marine juice for these so an initial bright yellow might be good. 🤔

They sure are pricey. We have a good reseller here (Sweden) that stocks both W&N and Raphael though to me it seems that the quality of both brands are declining at the moment. Especially Raphael brushes aren’t as ”full body” as before and the tips aren’t as sharp. Wonder why this is.

You’re not alone. It really bothers me that you can’t count on these brands, as I don’t have the time nor money to try out a bunch of alternatives. I just want my trusted brushes to deliver.
