As I've been on a roll with Star Trek threads today, let's continue with this one: you know one of the best parts of Geordie's visor?

90% of the time, nobody fucking mentions it.

Including disabled people in our utopian futures pushes back against a eugenicist ideal.

Since these are Capcom and @gog.com together on Steam, have we gotten a comment from gog yet about their thoughts on them being packed with DRM?

Was that the minority?

I was under the impression people hated 5, and thought 6 was a return to form.

I bounced from the franchise before those, so maybe I misunderstood, but I thought 5 wasn't well liked.

I heard this one seemed to course correct gameplay, but the DLC format is fucking miserable.

I followed a guide to just get the 'necessary' stuff on PC, but haven't yet brought myself to play it, as it just feels so fucking abusive.

First half of the season was setting us up a bit.

Kudos for that aspect working.

Very curious to see where things go now.

Doing the Sisko episode before this felt like a necessity, as it feels like the tone of the second half of the season has to be a bit different following this.

The episode also does far better dealing w/ the academy & college than has been done prior to this.

It feels like that aspect is meshing finally.

Best episode so far. It really feels like they did a lot of light things before this to make it hard harder

This one brings Caleb up high, then just keeps kicking him & everyone around him down.

We also get some detailing of Tarima's history which was lacking, which serves to make the swings a bit harder.

Everyone gets a bit to do, although this one swings hard to Hunter & Giamatti.

They've used Braka sparingly, which makes sense as they have him as a character standing on the edge of too far. It feels like someone will throw his corpse down it.

Hunter & Giamatti play off eachother wildly well.

From moment one the mood of the episode feels widely different w/ a slightly more direct sex scene than we tend to get in Trek.

Maybe even feels like too much.

The episode as it goes on makes it clear why it was necessary as it digs a bit deep.

The new Star Trek #starfleetacademy feels like it's tailor made to swing back at a specific complaint of the show & SNW.

Too soft, too willing to do weird concepts, when it's dark it's dark w/ no point. No bite.

So this one goes for the jugular.
