29.09.2025 12:40 β π 68 π 6 π¬ 2 π 1that's verrrrry cool!
29.09.2025 16:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think I'd make a separate bluesky account (@dailydoodle.art) seeing as I have that domain π
29.09.2025 16:07 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks for this! But I think I'll go for the simpler way:
1. I post to dailydoodle.art (self hosted, traditional DB)
2. Then it automatically also posts to Bluesky (via API)
That way the data lives in two places and I don't have to get toooo technical with the AT stuff (at least not just yet π
)
Ok, it's starting to make sense, thanks for your input! My only fear is that Bluesky one day disappears and all my art goes with it (if I don't move my AT repo over in time), hence why I want some version kept with my own hosting. But maybe a copy is better than having a single source of truth.
29.09.2025 15:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I guess I'm still struggling with how it would work. Feels like there are lots of ways to do this.
1. I host (traditional DB) and copy to Bluesky
2. I post to Bluesky, and copy (or reference) to my site
3. I host my own AT repo, with posts on Bluesky
Ideally I want to directly upload to my site and then have a feed on AT (would that be via Bluesky posts?). Not sure what the best approach is.
29.09.2025 15:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The first thing would be moving my daily art content over to AT. I am currently pulling from Instagram and self hosting it, but Insta API changed (for the millionth time) and I'm completely done with it. dailydoodle.art
29.09.2025 15:07 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Super inspiring, makes me want to get all my content onto the AT Protocol!
29.09.2025 14:33 β π 13 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0I'm hoping I can run it without any accessory, just for a laugh

03.09.2025 17:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cool! but how do you have moving parts like those propellers while stopping and starting the scrub? π€

11.07.2025 19:48 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0what an amazing moment! Did you see any actually get out of the egg and start walking about? Or is it a very slow process?
07.07.2025 07:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is also the issue of the cobbled roads. Most of the quiet backstreets are like this, but horrible to cycle on, last time I tried it I had a bruised coccyx for a few days.
19.06.2025 08:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for the balanced analysis of the issue
11.06.2025 08:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Had the exact same thought. Would be nice to confidently remove all that extra noise!
08.06.2025 15:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is top of my want-to-play list now. Been dreaming of this sort of game since lockdown (and when I moved countries!)

07.06.2025 08:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A macro photo of a tiny pale orange wasp with light green eyes, clinging to the right side of a rough-textured orange-brown nest, against a green leaf, out of focus in the background. The vase-shaped nest is wider at the bottom and has a small entrance hole at the top, and hangs from a thin, white silk stem-like line.
π§΅ππΏHere is your Wednesday Wasp, one of the most fascinating things I saw in Costa Rica. It's a silk wasp, Microstigmus adelphus. They're ant-size, ~3 mm. This nest was maybe the size of a pea. Females produce silk from their abdomen (almost like spiders) to bind organic material for the nest, and--

30.05.2025 11:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 010/10 but that felt too easy. Much better AI examples could have been used! Maybe for educational purposes it makes sense to have some giveaways...
27.05.2025 18:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is there an open instant messaging protocol we can switch to? I can imagine a nicely designed chat app that under the hood just uses email π
25.05.2025 12:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's wishful thinking from the tech bros. However, from an AI safety standpoint we shouldn't be dismissive, no one really knows how exactly general intelligence will materialise. LLMs are an unlikely candidate but I still hope corps pouring ever more compute into new models proceed with caution.
