The building is in a 27 million dollar foreclosure filed by Wells Fargo. The next day, Wells Fargo filed an emergency motion for receivership. The fascist regime kindly emptied the building for donor Wells Fargo.

“Conversion therapy” is a euphemism for child abuse, and every mainstream medical and mental health organization has rejected this practice for decades. There is no evidence that it does anything besides harm children. It is one of the few subjects where there is an overwhelming medical consensus.

Ideological and factual contradictions aside, Hegseth publicly admiring and collaborating with Hortman and then completely ignoring her murder at the hands of his own political movement is something out of 1930s Germany. Truly chilling stuff.

I think we are irreversibly down the same path with the Trump regime. Lots of people hoping elections and existing political repertoires will simply right the ship and undo the harm, refusing to realize that we can’t go back. It’s not clear what comes next, but it won’t be what came before.

There’s a way to make this argument with genuine critical grounding, drawing on Freud’s repetition compulsion, critical developmental psychology, and the ruling class shielding themselves and their families from the adaptive stresses of social and material consequences for their behavior…

ICE is doing a hell of a lot of harm in the Chicago area *right now.* I don’t mean to trivialize the national guard stuff, it absolutely is an irresponsible escalation, but the guard-centric convo around this really does understate what’s going on without any guardsmen.

Having seen claims against law enforcement play out in courts, this is grossly insufficient as a political solution to law enforcement abuse. Nothing less than abolition of “qualified immunity” and radical reduction in force capabilities and equipment for any and all LEOs should be “moderate” floor
