really really good feelings lately both making a new friend (hopefully more soon!!!!) and just really feeling myself out with all of this. Feels comfy and nice and correct and I'm really just feeling so much better about myself lately.

I really love the gen 2 pokemon games. They have that same really comfy Gameboy Aesthetic, full color support since they're GBC games, and it's when pokemon found its first consistant art style that lasted up until idk, gen 5 or 6? That's where I'd say is the origin point of the modern art style.

Especially since basically all of the perpetrators of kink cancelling within the fandom turn out to be into some shit where they have zero room to talk, almost invariably.

They don't exclusively use Dark types outside of Gym Challenges. They also love using Fire, Poison, and Steel types. But League rules required them to pick one specialty for their Gym challenge so they decided to choose Dark since there weren't many other Dark specialists around.

Also they're Evil for Reasons and their Gym is themed around being a radio station which people find weird and thematically clashing with their type specialty but no one questions it.

They use their power and influence with the League to brush their nefarious activities under the rug.

Gym Leader Apollo Lore Time:

They were considered a child prodigy of a trainer and joined their regions' League and became a Gym Leader specializing in Dark Types around the age of 15 and they hold that position still half their lifetime later where they ranked up and became the region's 8th Gym.
