Love to see this. I've had this in the past with fan clubs of my favourite bands long before social media. I remain friends with some going back to the early 90s. Wish I was nearer I'd have been there. Community this is what has often been lacking since the net took over.

Just thinking of MTV and the ITV rock shows too as half the Bailey Brothers was at my local venue last night. Music TV was often tacky but we've gone from that to barely any music TV apart from Jools Holland. Social media has a lot to answer for.

Total bobbins, a lot of pub venues also learning and putting bands on at weekends at tea time. A long time ago afternoon drinking/ socialising was seen as antisocial but it's very different times. I prefer being home before dark and never relying on taxis either

WHY is it that classical musicians in orchestras get lauded as being the crème de la crème in the world of instrumentalists, when they all require sheet music to help them remember the tune? I saw Napalm Death a few weeks ago and they didn't have to look at a book once. They could remember all the songs just fine, and most of their ones are loads faster than any Beethoven or Mozart. Obviously a younger band now put the drummer remains but they were spot on musically on their own songs plus the classics such as Buddy Holly

My dad finds it hilarious Barnsley to Blackpool by train now takes longer than by steam in the 1950s. Getting out of South Yorks to the East Coast coastal resorts is just as poor

In the late 80s n 90s Barnsley folk were lucky enough to be able to go to a club nevermind a gig and catch a cheap bus from Sheffield to Barnsley at 2pm I'm also sure the trains ran later esp on Saturdays. Then both sources of public transport wrecked. Can't even watch the end of a gig now

When I saw Kanye and to a lesser extent Kendrick in there I knew not to take seriously. I do actually like some rap music insult to others. Not many women around in there apart from Lauryn Hill who I'm ok with being in there.
