Text: What do you do when your life is seen as lesser? What do you say when your neighbor deems you as vermin and a menace? Panel 2:The hands grip and pull at some rubble, additional sets join them as they dig. Through an opening in the debris, an arm can be seen, the skin torn and coated in dry blood and dust. Text 2: How can you be heard when your voice is endlessly muted and drowned out? When the blue sky turns red and burns over your head, where can you run for shelter? Panel 3: The main subject now holds the barely alive girl in his arms. She is badly hurt from the building collapsing on her, but her eyes are open. She is young, around 9 years old. Her face is sunken and thin, showing signs of starvation. Text 3: How can you be seen when your killers can bribe the world to turn a blind eye to your suffering? How can you fight back when any forceful effort is used to justify your starvation and suffering? How can you fight back when any forceful effort is used to justify your starvation and suffering? Panel 4: The first subject carried the girl threw the rubble of a street, but around them are others working together to pull people free. A truck nearby is being unloaded, with bags of supplies and food being passed out. A medical tent is being constructed at the end of the street, as everyone around them works together to try and keep each other safe. The Palestinian flag flies from a section of a bombed building overhead, tattered and damaged, but still fluttering in the breeze. Text 4: You refuse to die. You shout louder, you call out to anyone who will listen. You remind the world you are human. Because humanity can not be stripped from you, so long as your heart beats and your lungs draw breath. And you push ever onwards. From the river to the sea. Until you are free.
