An update on Mod

For the time being, I am jobless. And I am behind on work art-wise. I have/had a lot of complicated feelings on my job but the most consistent of said feelings is just being tired. Tired enough that art hasn't come easy at all.

If you've already got an order at all and you're concerned about being forgotten, please read the thread attached through the QRT and contact me! I plan on getting to my backed up work but need to make ends meet so these are a buffer.

Life has been complicated and puppetry is hard.

If I get back on my job, I plan on taking far less hours than I was doing before and trying to keep art the main focus in my weeks. But whether I get rehired is still up in the air so art is the way. Sometimes the only way to get a machine going is to keep revving the engine.

I do want to extend some appreciation too to everyone whose reached out and checked on me and supported me despite my lack of energy and output. I kept telling myself "oh i'll get the groove back" but the only time I've had any real creative energy is now when I'm technically unemployed.

If you have a previous order that you're waiting on, please reach out and I can tell you where it's at in my intinerary and capabilities at the moment. I'm trying to get back into regular art work and that starts with developing the right habits again.

As you could probably guess from the first post, this is a new format for an animated character card. that will hopefully make ends meet. It'll be the only new YCH for a while and I'll only take 6 slots at a time.

I don't feel good taking work when my output is currently bad and I have so much behind but bills and rent need to be paid. Thankfully, my living situation has changed and my financial strain has become a bit lighter.

I can afford not to take as much work as possible to make ends meet.

For everyone still expecting art, I still plan on doing what I have backed up (headshots, comms, older YCHs, etc.). Last year was a rough one for me. I dived headfirst into my job in order to make ends meet and whether or not I'm returning next season is a bit of an open question.

I let art fall by the wayside because I just didn't really have the energy creatively to get back to it. I was feeling like a machine at a certain point and the smallest creative snag would send ripples out to the rest of my creative motivation
