It’s no accident either. Tariffs and education cuts from Trump are straining an area that’s already stretched thin.

The Republicans, as usual, serve the rich, especially the very rich, and are willing to hurt the average person's pocketbook. DFLers are for the average person and won't cut taxes for the ultra-rich.

We can't afford to just sit back and wait for 2026 to roll around — that's why the DFL is investing in grassroots organizing all across Minnesota right now. One of those organizers will be based in Rochester and will work in southeastern Minnesota.

Americans overwhelmingly oppose engaging in a war with Iran. They do not want to jeopardize the safety of our troops and do not wish to put Americans living abroad in danger.

Donald Trump’s actions this weekend do all of those and more, all while making the world less secure.

The DFLs of Olmsted County will observe a week of mourning in honor of the late Speaker Emerita of the House Melissa Hortman. The office is closed to the public and all DFL activities this week are canceled. Thank you all for the outpouring of support and shared grief.

Spending money on public education isn't just good for the children we're educating. It's also good for all of us.

America's experience with the GI Bill after World War II taught us college education is often the road to the middle class, but you can't go if you can't afford it. This takes away one of the barriers to higher education.

KIds learn better when they have had something to eat. The money we spend on public education is more useful when kids in school aren't hungry.

This credit substantially reduced child poverty in Minnesota. It deserves to stay.

State-run paid family and medical leave is a critical benefit for working people and is good for small business, as it makes them more competitive with big businesses who already often offer this.

Republicans are for the wealthy. DFLers are for us.

DFLers are fighting climate change, but thousands of Minnesotans with solar/other clean energy jobs could be laid off due to the GOP budget bill. It’s just one of the many ways that Minnesotans will lose out if Donald Trump and his allies in the Minnesota GOP gut Minnesota’s clean energy economy.

Republicans are trying to kill this program before it takes effect because they know once it starts people will want to have it forever. This is a program that keeps people in the workforce and levels the playing field between businesses. Thanks DFL leaders for being stalwart on this.

Every Minnesota Republican in Congress knows Trump's tariffs hurt farmers. They’re going along with it anyway.

MN Republicans want to take away free meals for school children. National Republicans want to take away health care for mothers, children, and disabled people. How can they be so cruel?

MNGOP leaders think that “if the government shuts down, that’s great.”
Let’s be clear: a state government shutdown would bring chaos to our state. Minnesotans wouldn’t be able to renew driver’s licenses, parks would close, and tens of thousands of people would be laid off.

Steve Simon is a terrific Secretary of State. Thanks to him, we can be confident we will have elections in 2026.

If just one of the four Minnesota Republicans in the U.S. House had joined our DFL Congresswomen, Trump wouldn't have been able to pass his bill to gut Medicaid and SNAP. Brad Finstad was the deciding vote on this bill. Don't ever forget what he did.

The House just voted for the largest cut to Medicaid in history. The bill passed by one vote.
Any of the Minnesota Republicans in Congress could have stopped this. None of them did.

Thanks to DFL leaders at the Capitol, Minnesota is going to keep feeding our kids. Republican attempts to cut back on free breakfast and lunch for schoolchildren failed. Everybody knows kids learn better when they have food in their stomach.
