Personally, I think my work is comical enough that tearing into it just reveals that it's intentionally a little silly in places.

I would argue that True Detective also falls into that category in most of its seasons. Although arguably it’s less a cop show and more of a “look at this distinctly American hellscape we found” with every new season featuring a new hellscape.

I think I’ve got solid prose and I’ve been told my dialogue is quite good. It’s something I aim for, trying to find the particular voices of characters when they speak aloud and interact with others. Also I have my flashes of inspiration when it comes to plots if I can toot my own horn a little.

Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.
