The Tintina fault has triggered many more earthquakes than was thought β and a build-up of strain poses a hazard.
New research from UVic's School of Earth and Ocean Sciences has highlighted a seismic hazard in the Yukon.
Previously believed to have been dormant for over 40 million years, the Tintina fault may be capable of producing an earthquake with a magnitude over 7.5.
