I think it’s akin to not being able to challenge on a lift call in volleyball. Unfortunately F1’s rules aren’t just “keep the ball within the white lined” so there will be controversy about their application, but you will never win an argument against a steward or ref about the decision they’ve made

MCL should not appeal Oscar’s penalty. Appeals are only for when there is new evidence not when you disagree with the stewards’ decision

I forgot Y.Semeniuk plays for Warszawa, yeah their middles are stacked. Also I’m glad to see Botti being recognised; I think he did good work in Piacenza and should’ve stayed on as head coach instead of Anastasi, but Piacenza’s gotta Piacenza. Him at Resovia is an improvement

I don’t really go for the underdogs or whatever and I enjoy rooting for a favourite (TRE & ZAW last year), but there’s nothing to tip Perugia over the edge I guess. Zawiercie had Perry last year and I have a soft spot for Polish middles; Trento, well, Michi and they were not!Perugia

I wish I could actually like Perugia. I appreciate a lot of the players, but I just can’t seem to get invested in the team as a whole. If I rooted for them I’d be having so much fun now. I did that for Trento last season and it was great

I would never want him to and rules-wise he can’t, but imagine if Luke Perry naturalised to play setter for the Japanese NT

Man Trentino is really hurting from the lack of Lavia. I need to fill out an official Lavia apology form; I have definitely talked shit about him a few times when he didn’t deserve it. Michi is also not as bulletproof as we might like to think.

Sorry - there is English commentary, pretty sure I’ve had a few w/o Eng though. Maybe just the big-ticket ones like CVA-TRE? This level of commentary isn’t useful to me, but sometimes they give a bit of context like why players are missing. Had to look up what happened to Paolino and Galassi today

I watched a bit of Resovia. Zatorski backrow sub for Szalpuk is funky… I don’t know how I feel about it. I get that Resovia has money and Zatorski’s contract isn’t up, but they could’ve got Luke Perry. I get poaching Janusz and his bestie in one go but… best libero in the league 3 years running??

I knew that Rychlicki is an ethnic Pole but actually hearing him speak Polish after so many years in Italy is interesting (not that I understood a single thing). In another timeline he’d be the starting opposite for the Polish NT now…

I catch myself looking for Porro in Milano because he’s been such a mainstay in that team for so long, even though I’m very hyped for him in Piacenza and the new Piacenza in general. The PIA-MIL match esp bc I know he’s across the net and somehow brain still doesn’t compute

This, and learning the Polish for all the various points violations by the end of the Plusliga season from the challenge screen. No commentary on Plusliga matches at all though.

If they don’t bring back English commentary on the superlega I will be able to learn the Italian for numbers 1-25 by the end of the regular season. I think they’re probably just using the Rai broadcast at this point

Imagine if Ingebrigtsen retired after 2021. No one would say he’s a bad championship racer, he’s only good when paced bc you just don’t have that reality of him losing at championships to talk abt.
