I have met some of my best friends because of dogs.

Whenever I get depressed about moving and being in a new place far away from my family, I call one of my coworkers from my previous job. Then I realize how miserable I would be if I had stayed.

Unfortunately, knowing what I do about MN wolves, chihuahuas often end up as snacks. Not unrelated, northern Minnesota dog owners are also far more concerned about their dog’s whereabouts than the average dog owners.

I have yet to see anyone “celebrate” Kirk’s murder. What I have seen are a crap ton of people claiming that anything negative said about Kirk is hate speech. I suspect it’s a combination of poor reading comprehension and creating justification to crack down on free speech.

He was informed that this has happened to other people, as well, so there will be no more solo trips.

One of my kids is working as a hydrology intern, and he called me the other day saying he had just been rescued.

I freaked out a bit, but apparently he’d gotten stuck in some quickmud up to his thighs while on a solo data collection trip. A volunteer firefighter came out with a ladder.

The first rule of good borscht is that a spoon stuck in it should be able to stand up.

I saw that. Problem is that I moved to Indiana in August. I am supposed to be going back that week for Thanksgiving, though.

Ismo is one of my favorite comics. I haven’t been able to catch him in person yet, but I am hoping to at some point.

It’s a failed strategy. It was what they did in the 90s. The market just isn’t there.

Apparently this has happened a couple other times so now no one is supposed to go there solo.
